NOD invites you to join the 2-week online workshop led by Spenser Theberge.
Waiting to return to a normal situation, the online lesson is currently the only way to keep in touch with our teachers and continue to keep the passion for dance alive.
NOD will do everything possible to recreate the atmosphere that only an in person dance lesson can give.

Where: From your livingroom

When: June 1 -12

Deadline for applications: May 30th

Lead by teacher, performer, and choreographer Spenser Theberge (formerly with NDT & The Forsythe Company), this two-week workshop will focus on physical rigor, creative introspection, reflection, and ingenuity. Though we’re unable to meet in the studio at this time, the remote mode of this workshop allows for a great opportunity to focus on adaptability, which is an absolutely essential quality no matter the circumstances. Whether it’s learning for the first time or reaffirming an existing practice, this workshop will promote ideas of intuition, coordination, sensitivity, and presence through the exploration of ballet and improvisation. And as interdisciplinary and site-specific projects become even more important in these times, dancers will be guided through compositional strategies that incorporate these principles, strengthening their ability to navigate within this moment. Open to dancers of all backgrounds, this workshop is for artists eager to develop their creativity through the exploration of a mentally and physically rigorous practice.
