THE ART OF SIMPLICITY: YES…, WE’VE ALREADY HEARD ABOUT IT

In these classes we will work with simple ideas, which are still challenges due to their simplicity; where there is no place to hide behind the movement but to show the movement honestly.

Movement is the key tool of the work.

The teachings are made up of two sections:

– In the technical class we will use given phrases that we will study to reproduce and/or reinterpret. Besides executing movements we wish to develop performing skills.

– Partner work. For a few years now, the relation between partners is the main subject matter of my creation research: observing the real life to extract events and translating them into dance patterns and partnering dialogues.
Here we will use exercises to stimulate communication, understand the forces and weights of the bodies and exercise models that we will reproduce.

These classes are directed to people interested in dance as an art of expression.
