The class focuses on developing strategies for being present while investigating the perpetual dynamic negotiations within the body and the space around it. The class begins with isolation exercise, exploring and reacquainting ourselves with our bodies and the space we find ourselves in.
The exercises incrementally layers movement and compositional strategies that challenge participants to experience themselves and the people around them as one.
Working towards increasing self-awareness and identifying stimuli inside and outside of the body, using the mind as a catalyst for shifts in sensation and perception, and curiously exploring possibilities in movement.
The class progresses with individual and group exercises that allow participants to examine the propositions of the opening improvisational discoveries.
