Join the extraordinary Olivia Ancona at NOD for an exclusive session of the International Contemporary Dance Program — with only 5 spots available for external dancers.

Where: NOD Nuova Officina della Danza , Via Mantova 34 Torino – Italy

When: April 21 – 25

Deadline for applications: As long as there is space. The number of participants is limited. First come first serve.

Each day will begin with a guided improvisation class to spark the
connection between our sensations and physical possibilities. We will experience the tasks within a flow, and later zoom into these ideas with more time, creativity, and conversation. The workshop portion will include learning existing material, playing compositional games, and opening dialogues. We will explore other facets of individual expression and theatricality through storytelling both physical, written, and spoken.

Olivia offers space for dancers to dive deeper into their ability to juggle multiple physical, sensorial, and creative tasks. She
encourages dancers to listen to their own movement habits, while inviting in new approaches. By exploring the source of our movement, we develop our physical potential and clarity of expression as movers, performers, and people.

Every class and workshop is a part of an ongoing research process.
Drawing inspiration from over a decade of teaching Gaga, other somatic practices, staging experiences, and performance history with creators like Sharon Eyal and Alan Lucien Øyen, among others.
