Come to dance and join the 5 days Intensive led by Kevin Quinaou at Torino.
Where: NOD c/o Centro Danza Royal – Via San Marino 89/14 – Torino, Italy
When: January 27 – 31 2020
Deadline for applications: January 7th
Kevin’s improv class is composed of floor work research and tasks from methods used by some choreographers he has worked within Lyon or NDT and that he implements in his warm-up. He likes to create small combos browsing diverse styles to finish his class. Kevin’s background brought him to use socks a lot and he uses it during his class.
Dancer/performer, Kevin Quinaou began his dance study at 6 years old and graduated from the Paris National Conservatoire (CNSMDP) when he was 19. To reinforce his classical knowledge and technique, he joined the prestigious Teatro Alla Scala in Milan where he began as a corps de ballet. Later on, Kevin took a drastic shift and joined the Lyon Opera Ballet where he built his foundation as a modern dancer.
Afterward, he joined the world-renown dance company, “The Netherlands Dans Theatre” in The Hague, where he created and performed works of masters choreographers, before becoming a freelance dancer.
In 2017, he created a collective called SHARE, to allow dancers who never got the chance to experience the works and methods of masters choreographers to do so. www.shareintensive.com
Kevin teaches his ballet class for dance companies, US universities, and open professional training across Europe. He teaches his own modern class based on improvisation and choreographers he worked with.
Since 2011 he is certified ballet pedagogue D.E*
