8-day dance & pen-to-paper workshop guided by Chris Evans and produced by HAVEN Global Sanctuary for Dance.

This course is for those who are curious TODAY as to what your dancing and your writing can teach each other, and how both intersect. Through daily movement practice, physical theatre techniques, and writing tasks, Chris Evans will guide participants to articulate their imagination and explore how their dance and writing can inform one another. Dancers will devise material every day. Guest speaker Professor Verlyn Klinkenborg Ph.D., currently teaching creative writing at Yale University, will join mentees for part of the process.

ELIGIBILITY​
age 16+
previous dance training and/or established movement practice
performance experience or curiosity about sharing dance with others
desire to adapt, create, connect, and contribute
interest in writing
