Move-You Camp is a contemporary dance summer intensive focused on enriching physical skills and abilities as well as opening up the creative channels through improvisation and dance composition. MYC is placed in the beautiful nature of Slovak Mountains in Low Tatras.

Move-You Camp is a summer dance intensive for pre-professional dancers, young professionals and choreographers, with a creative mind and strong physical ability. We are looking for people who like to work hard and who would like to develop and pursue their dance practice and qualities as the performers, artists, who also like to play with the movement and explore their own unique dance voice.
Structure of the workshop is divided into two parts. Morning part is devoted to dance practice including a morning yoga class and conditioning for an hour, then 2 hours of contemporary dance practice and afternoon part is focused on creation and improvisation. There is an opportunity to present the work in progress of all participants.

The week will lead two professional dance artists, performers and dance educators Katarina Hajsterova and Simona Tonkova. They received a master degree from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in modern and contemporary dance. They are involved in many dance projects with choreographers Anton Lahky (SK/BE), Davide Sporteli (I), Joe Alegado (CZ/ Mexico), Virginie Dejeux (F), Marta Polakova (SK), Peter Savel (SK) and many others. They are parts of the musical shows Romeo and Juliet, Cats, Gypsy go to Heaven, Hairspray, Story of the Street. They travel the world to enrich their practice (Austria, USA, Portugal..etc.) and they are offering to you to enrich your practice as well. Katarina is a dance teacher at Conservatory Bratislava, Conservatory M. L. Bellu Banska Bystrica. Last year she spent in New York City awarded by Fulbright as a researcher in Dance to work on her own contemporary dance practice and method. Simona runs her own dance company focused on contemporary dance.
The Guest Artists are Lukas Bobalik and Barbora Janakova, dancers, educators, creators, that are professionally involved in the contemporary dance world and physical theatre, actively producing their own work as the choreographers and performers.
