When: MON 23rd -THU 26th September 2019 | 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Deadline for applications: 25th September 2019

What we teach is a combination of acrobatic-dance and agility practice.
This is set with the focus to improve and inform the practitioners understanding of using a specific foundation of agility in relation to movement training – where the aim is nurture and gain insight into the work on the four key elements, Balance, Strenght, Coordination and Speed,(BSCS) this is coupled with the exploration of acrobatics within dance (microbatics) ,which aims to give access to the development of a structured training application in relation to more sustainable approaches to acrobatics.

Acrobatics within dance will be used to expand our movement choices and options especially when working in more inverted and higher risk scenarios. To help with this I introduce specific tools for falling, jumping, rolling and release work, to try and create a well rounded understanding of some of the key principles involved in our practice.

As well as solo form we will be working in close proximity with a partner (or more)where we introduce specific partnering situations to see how the partner can become an extension to our self and can assist each other within specific acrobatic techniques.

The idea here is to create an environment where working together can increase diversity within our training, and will allow the creation of a multi layered training scenario to help stimulate diverse and complex movement situations and cultivation of a rich learning environment.,p> The work aims to be accessible to a wide variety of movement backgrounds and disciplines, including dancers, circus artists, fighters and attempts to give beginners and more advanced practitioners access to our practice.
