About the MFA in Ballet
The Master of Fine Arts in Ballet offered by the School of Dance at the University of Utah is the only program of its kind: we are dedicated to deepening artists’ engagement with pedagogy, choreography, and scholarship. The MFA degree enables participants to pursue research projects that draw from their previous studies and professional careers, preparing them to: present their research at academic conferences, publish in academic journals, and collaborate with world-renowned artists and scholars, such as Matthew Neenan and Thierry De Mey. Applicants from a variety of backgrounds and experiences are welcome, including dance professionals interested in transitioning into careers beyond the stage.
