Łukasz Czapski and Hygin Delimat team up to provide a whole month of contemporary dance in Vienna!
This series of workshops is for every true movement passionate: dancers, acrobats, breakdancers, sport and fit people, yoga practitioners, runners, climbers, martial artists. We have 2 levels.
ŁUKASZ CZAPSKI – FLOORWORK
Floorwork is a way of moving in a close relationship with the floor through rolling, pushing and pulling from the floor,
fliping, sliding, creating spirals, etc. In my workshop I approach
those movements in a smooth and efficient way, engaging only the muscles
that are necessary.
During the workshop we will also work on the transitions between movements as well as in and out of the floor in order to find greater effortlessness and flow when moving through space. At the same time, we will further break down the individual movement to discover where in the body it is originating and how relaxed joints allow the first impulse to travel through the body.
HYGIN DELIMAT – GENTLY ACROBATIC
This workshop is a live balancing act between technical knowledge
exercises and animalistic movements practices. The integration of both
leads to freedom of expression. We will dance and, with the gentle
acrobatics, we will get to flow, float, and fly!
I would like to share with you my journey of going through very different movement disciplines to reaching the dancing body of today. I will dedicate big part of the process to aswering your movement questions and suggesting how can we learn better through the practice of self-teaching (our conscious work inbetween workshops).

Łukasz Czapski – I started to dance Breakdance in 1999 and a few years later formed the crew “Cats Claw” with which I traveled in Poland, the United States, France, Great Britain, Ukraine, the Netherlands and Germany, entering and winning competitions. I got involved with the theater in my hometown Siedlce in Poland where I went on to perform and teach. After finishing my Master’s degree in Cultural Management I went to Austria to study contemporary dance at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz. During this education I performed in the repertoire of Jarek Cemerek, Evangelos Poulinas and Jianan Qu. I danced professionally in works such as Jianan Qu’s Food projects better than emotions in Linz; in Hygin Delimat’s Architektur + tanz at AFO Architekturforum in Linz and Body Building in Poland, Austria, Slovenia and Luxemburg; in SILK Fluegge Company’s Leader in Linz, in Caro Dance Theater’s The Room in Poland and in Eine Nacht in Venedig in Landestheater Linz. I co-choreographed and performed We can not stop the river and How I see you with Alina Bertha at Lange nach der Buehnen 2017 and 2018 as well as at Tanzhafen Festival 2017.
Now I am living in Vienna working as a freelancer, dancing in projects, teaching and giving workshops around Europe.

About the Movement
Body Architects Method is an eclectic movement art – rather than originating from one base movement discipline, it combines a variety of sources, offering very distilled and curated knowledge. The initiators of the method are graduated movement educators and have broad experience in contemporary dance, breakdancing, tricking, contact improvisation, floor acrobatics, calisthenics, yoga. Rather than becoming dogmatic about one specific movement art, we believe in connecting information and creating the contemporary – perfectly mobile body, compatible with all already existing movement disciplines.
