Through the MA Dance: Performance programme at London Contemporary Dance School, students will dive into the world of contemporary dance and dance theatre performance practice, developing and refining the technical skills, creative tools, and communicative confidence to contribute meaningfully to the current international contemporary dance landscape.
— Working across different mediums of performance, students will be exposed to both traditional and cutting-edge creative approaches while working with teachers and project leaders who are at the forefront of their respective fields.
— Students will also develop the freelancer skills required to support an ongoing portfolio career, with themes of healthy practice and longevity at the heart of supporting curriculum in Dance Science and Performance Psychology.
— Towards the end of the course, students will work with industry mentors and the course leaders, to independently outline and identify their routes into the industry after graduating.
For who:
This course is primarily aimed at graduating students and recent graduates of full-time training courses in contemporary dance or similar fields. However, you do not need a BA in Dance to apply for this programme. We are also interested in hearing from applicants from other disciplines or backgrounds who have an interest in developing their craft as a performer within the contemporary dance sector and associated fields.
