We already have a great team coming together, but two more spots are still available for anyone interested in joining this Permaculture-Inspired Dance Residency!

This artists-in-residence program invites movers, thinkers, and artists to explore dance beyond consumption and hierarchy, embracing longevity, adaptability, and interconnection.

Where: Paleohori Art Space, Neohori, Lefkada, Ionian islands, Greece

When: April 14th – May 4th, 2025

Deadline for applications: Applications will be reviewed as soon as they are received, and participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the two remaining spots are filled.

Description of opportunity:
Can dance be a regenerative, sustainable practice, like an ecosystem that flourishes over time?

This residency is an invitation to listen—to the body, to nature, and to the rhythms of interconnected ecosystems. It is a space to unlearn extractive patterns and co-create sustainable movement cultures that can exist beyond hierarchies, limitations, and exclusions.

By embracing dance as a regenerative practice, we recognize that movement—like nature—does not belong to institutions, perfection, or external validation. It is a living, evolving force, meant to be shared, sustained, and reimagined for generations to come.

Over three weeks in Paleohori’s unique landscape, we will co-create a dance culture that sustains rather than consumes, challenges norms, and nurtures both individual and collective transformation.

Themes we explore:

Sustainable dance practices: Embracing Otherness, Honouring Commonalities

Dance as a medium for self-growth beyond stereotypes, comparison, and external validation

Contemporary dance as an active political and cultural force for change

If you are seeking an interdisciplinary horizontal learning-researching-creating setup, this residency is for you!
