Functionality and Perspective in Dance. Sánchez Ruíz‘s class investigation in release technique for the last ten years. Focus on the importance of being grounded, dancers work with initiation and arrival, visceral and organic movement. The technique training class is about understanding the shifting of weight, clarity of movement, attention to detail, precision and dynamics in a multidirectional approach.

When:  January 8-12, 2018 | 10:30am -4:00pm

Where: Pieter Performance Space, 420 W. Avenue 33. Los Angeles, 90031, US

Improvisation sessions are an opportunity to fully engage in our own creative practices. Students will learn how to redirect tools and knowledge to investigate and discover new modes of moving and performing which are both exciting and challenging. We will research on how to spontaneously and creatively respond to these tools as an individual, but also in a partnering or group setting.
I teach and train dancers for: technical functionality, creative instinct, high performance, and transformation.

This workshop will be structured in 90 minutes technique class and 3 hours improvisation practice.
Technique class 10:30am – 12:30pm (2 hours), 15$ Dropping class
Improvisation 1:00pm to 4:00pm (3 hours), (All levels)
