ZeroPlus DanceWorks announces entry into its Journey To The Center year-long contemporary dance training program!

This is a complex training program for those who are on their way to becoming a professional contemporary dancer/performer. Are you interested in a deeper, multi-faceted approach to movement and dance? Do you want to complete your studies in a well-known higher education institution in the future and you want to be well prepared for that? Then you are in the right place, studying with us!
We use many different techniques, approaches, and disciplines to help you on your journey of becoming a powerful dancer/performer. Facilitating the development of individual skills and creativity is of utmost importance for us. During your studies we will encourage you to create your own dance, to find your own voice, discover your individuality through movement and performance. Instead of providing you with prefabricated answers, we will ask you to pose questions (above all to yourself), to investigate, research and experiment. You can take part in a deep workflow, surrounded by peers with a similar point of view, in a supportive atmosphere.
We await the applications of those who are 18 years old or older and who are already advanced in their dance studies.
The training program starts on the 16th of September, 2019 and ends on the 14th of June, 2020 (altogether 35 weeks). It consists of 2 semesters. There will be a break around Christmas /New Year and another shorter break during the spring.

9.00-10.45 Ayumi Toyabe – Ballet (intermediate)
11.00-12.30 Ayumi Toyabe – contemporary dance (intermediate)
There will be one course for beginners:
9.00-10.45 Boglárka Lakatos-Varga – Ballet for beginners
11.00-12.30 Luiza Moraes – Grounding, Sensing and Moving: contemporary dance for beginners
It is possible to enter the courses separately however we encourage you to take all of them (according to your level) in order to get the most out of the curriculum offered. The more courses you take the less you have to pay.
Fees for the whole school year:
5 days/week (2 classes/day): 2,500 EUR
4 days/week (2 classes/day): 2,000 EUR
2 days/week (2 classes/day): 1,200 EUR
1 day/week (2 classes): 700 EUR
Please note that all fees must be paid in one sum at the start of the course! In some individually discussed cases the fee can be paid in two installments.

In addition to the above, students also learn excerpts of contemporary dance pieces created by ZeroPlus DanceWorks, they will be given compositional tasks, will create short solos, duets, etudes and take part in a demonstration at the end of the school year in June 2020. There will be several other occasions when the students can also participate in informal studio showings.
The training takes place in a small group of minimum 4, maximum 10 participants whom will be chosen via a video audition.
