Choreographers, contemporary dance companies and dance troupes are invited to participate in our open call. The Festival Will be held on August 2024 and 2025 at the most important venues for performing arts in the city and other public and alternative venues.

Requirements:
Provide a full video link to the dance piece you are applying with (works in progress will not be eligible). *Only Youtube and Vimeo links will be accepted. Please ensure that this link is available from the moment of the application until the publication of the results. Also, be aware of providing us with a valid password if the video is private.

A link with 5 to 10 pictures of the piece **Google Drive, Dropbox or similar. WeTransfer files will not be accepted.
A brief Bio or CV of the choreographer or dance company applying.
A short description of the piece.

Conditions:
The festival will provide accommodation and internal transportation for up to 4 nights – 5 days for companies not residing in Mexico City.

The FIDCDMX has limited financial resources. If selected, we will encourage and support you to establish contact with your local cultural institutions and embassies to cover the transportation costs. This year, the festival has no funding to offer an artistic fee.

The companies and soloists chosen will be notified through email and social media by February 15th, 2024.
***If you need notification sooner due to fundraising, please let us know in advance at the application.
****Companies who have submitted their work in the previous call to present in 2024 are already being considered.

The festival will occur from August 8th to 18th, 2024 and August 7th to 17th, 2025.

The participants will have to adapt their technical requirements and schedules to the ones the venues can offer. Nonetheless, the festival staff will do everything possible to meet the best conditions for each programmed piece.

The pieces selected will only be accepted within the information provided in the forms. In case of any further change, the application will be subject to approval by the corresponding committee.
