Humus is a professional dance training structured over four months and culminating in three days of festival.

Humus is a professional training structured over four months, from Monday to Friday from 09.30 to 15.00, integrated by four workshops, one for each month of the program from Friday to Sunday from 10.00 to 17.00. The first three months are dedicated to the study of movement. The fourth month focuses on the application of tools at the service of a common and collective project, under the guidance of an international choreographer who in 2025 will be Claudia Dias. The fourth week of each month is dedicated to the Emptiness Atelier, a residence within the program, dedicated to the digestion and re-elaboration of the material studied for the individual direction of each student. Humus concludes with a 3-day festival in which students will be able to present their personal or group research.
Humus is a training aimed at building and/or consolidating work on corporeality understood as an active presence that combines thought and action. The pedagogical arc, starting from the study of the movement of the architecture of the individual body, arrives at the management of a research project capable of generating a shareable product of any nature: performative, pedagogical, literary…. Humus’ pedagogical tools are Axis Syllabus, Play-Fight, Study of the voice, Contact and presence practices; all these researches work through principles of movement that underlie the layer of form and manifest expressiveness, thus offering space for the search for each student’s own form. In fact, all these tools share a point of origin: observing the body and movement starting from the environment of which it is part and from which its architecture derives. The characteristics of Humus management are the critical attitude, practical exercise, attention to terminology. We want to offer new horizons and perspectives that can be useful tools for everyone to orient themselves in their professional and/or personal enrichment journey.
