Commissioned by Lowry in partnership with Battersea Arts Centre, and supported by Crying Out Loud and New Earth Theatre.
Lowry’s Developed With artist Louiseanne Wong is looking for three versatile performers aged 18+ to join the initial R&D of GROOVES
Looking for artists with experience across contemporary and hip hop dance styles. Experience in breaking and/or krump is particularly welcomed, alongside performers who are comfortable climbing and working at height. There may also be opportunities to explore parkour and spoken word.
Applications are particularly welcomed from women and non-binary performers, and Global Majority artists, including East and Southeast Asian performers.
The paid R&D will take place across three weeks in September and October, culminating in industry sharings at Lowry and London Battersea Arts Centre.
