The 2023 GALLIM Moving Artist Parent Residency in New York City is designed to holistically support movement artists who are parents by offering fully-funded, safe and private space, an artist stipend, an optional mentorship session, and an additional childcare stipend.

The 2023 GALLIM Moving Artist Parent Residency provides movement artist parents time and space to explore their creative ideas and invite them to identify what would most nurture their growth in creation, research, training, and development. The Moving Artist Residencies are process based residencies, there are no requirements to produce or showcase a finished work. The residencies are open to, but not limited to, choreographers, dance filmmakers, educators, and performers. This year’s residencies will take place at a satellite studio space in NYC of similar dimensions to the Brooklyn GALLIM studios and will be equipped with a sprung marley floor.
Week long residencies will be held Jan-May 2023. Hours of residency are 10-3pm Mon-Fri.
There will be a virtual info session on Oct 12 at 7pm ET.
