A free Professional Development opportunity for Dance Teachers/Leaders.

As part of Big Dance 2018, we are offering a professional development session for dance teachers/leaders to learn the Big Dance choreography by acclaimed choreographers Frances Rings (Bangarra Dance Theatre/NAISDA) and Craig Bary. This is an opportunity for dance educators to learn a routine with Indigenous cultural influence and include it in their teaching plan to pass it on to their students. This is a free workshop. Teaching resources will be provided post-workshop.

Big Dance is the largest global festival in celebration of dance. Started off in the UK, Big Dance has a ten-year legacy and will be led by Australia this year. Previous choreographers of Big Dance include Wayne McGregor, Rafael Bonachela and Akram Khan. Big Dance 2018 will be celebrated on 29 April, in conjunction with International Dance Day.
