ALL THE SENSES
Training perspectives through sensory experience

FINAL CALL

CONTENT
We react to what is happening around us, come into contact with each other and adapt to circumstances through our senses. Hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, feeling, etc… Opinions differ about how many senses we can name. However, we all agree that our senses connect us to the world around us. During this 10th International Choreographers Week we will explore sensory experiences in the broadest sense of the word and go through sensory experiences ourselves: learning by doing. We will break open the established by asking ourselves and our senses critical (research)questions: How do our senses influence the way we see our environment, ourselves and others? How individual or collective are these sensory experiences? And what if our senses are conditioned by a certain social background or cultural heritage? Can we (re)train our senses to gain new perspectives, beliefs and insights? During the week we will open ourselves up to the undiscovered fields of our nervous system and let our conditioned minds being taken by surprise.
