About Felix Landerer:

In 2006 Felix Landerer transitioned from dancing at the Hannover state opera ballet to full time freelance choreographer and founded his company LANDERER&COMPANY. In 2010 Landerer won the first prize in the International Competition for Choreographers in Hannover for the duet SUITS. Soon after he was awarded the production prize for the Scapino Ballet in Rotterdam, granting him his first commission for the Holland based company. Soon thereafter, in 2011, he was named Resident Choreographer at Scapino Ballet.

In the following years Landerer created continuously for not only Scapino and LANDERER&COMPANY, but was commissioned by companies all across Europe and the U.S.A., including Netherlands Dance Theatre 2, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Gothenburg Opera Dance Company, Konzerttheater Bern, Luzerner Theater, Northwest Dance Project Oregon, Theater St Gallen, Norrdans, Theater Münster and others. In 2013 his production BLIND SPOT (for Scapino Ballet) was nominated for a SWAN award in the category ‘Best Dance Production’. In 2017 LANDERER&COMPANY received the PRO VISIO prize for exceptional artistic achievements for the production ‘REVOLTE!’ as well as the STADTKULTURPREIS Hannover for outstanding civic engagement in arts and culture.

In 2020, funded by TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund, LANDERER&COMPANY joined with Steptext Bremen to form the new company ‘of curious nature’. In 2022, thanks to the continued funding by TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund, Landerer will continue to develop new structures and formats for LANDERER&COMPANY and for the independent dance scene.
