FABRIC (Dance4 and DanceXchange together) is launching a new residency programme to provide artists based in the UK with money, space, and staff time to explore new ideas and support the realisation of projects.

Where: Midlands UK

When: Before April 2023

Deadline for applications: Monday 22 August, 10AM

As part of this opportunity, there are two strands that can be applied for:

OPEN RESEARCH
This opportunity is for research into new ways of thinking about and doing dance, movement, and choreography with an emphasis on ideas that need time and space to explore, test and develop, rather than the creation of new work. We are excited to receive proposals that have the potential to engage the public now in these processes.

CREATE
This opportunity is for projects that have already undertaken research and development processes and could benefit from a residency to support the final stages of creation. The residency will include testing your work with the public and should lead to an outcome that can be presented from April 2023 onward as part of a wider tour, produced by you. Projects should already have other partners and funders involved.

To apply, ensure to read the application and budget guidance and complete and submit an application form before the deadline.
