A 4-day residential dance and movement workshop exploring the impact of our movement, attention, and presence through improvisation practices on a unique moving platform.

Where: Paleohori eco-art project, Lefkada, Greece

When: July 24 (arrival) – 27 (departure), 2026

Deadline for applications: Rolling applications until spots are filled — limited small group.

Join choreographer Androniki Marathaki for an immersive dance workshop unfolding on a moving ground that shifts through the transfer of our weight and presence.

Through improvisation scores, sensory practices, and collective movement research, participants explore balance, responsiveness, gravity, resonance, and the relational dynamics emerging between bodies, space, and environment.

The workshop takes place on a specially designed moving platform created by visual artist Filippos Vasileiou as part of a long-term choreographic and performative research process.

The practice includes:
• improvisation dance and movement research
• sensory and relational movement practices
• group scores and collective composition
• personal practice time on the moving platform
• exploration of gravity, balance, resonance, and impact
• shared living and embodied exchange in nature

Open to all people interested in movement and embodied exploration. Previous dance experience is welcome but not required.
