In search of a bilingual Spanish/English ballet instructor and administrative support staff member for non-profit dance company, Mannakin Theater & Dance. Established in 2013, the mission of MTD is to broaden the world of the performing arts by engaging new individuals and demographics in rich and meaningful experiences in the theater seats, in the learning studio and under the stage lights.
Option for immediate hire
25-40 hour/week will be composite of teaching and administrative responsibilities.
Instruction Duties
The new hire should be proficient at teaching ballet to ages 3-11. Other disciplines of dance experience and teaching are welcome, including tap, modern, contemporary, jazz, folklorico, etc.
Teaching duties will include up to 25 hours of teaching/week.
Administrative Duties will include parent engagement, grant search, social media/marketing
Minimum Qualifications
• 3 years of teaching experience with at least 1 year of teaching young children
• Ballet proficiency
• 1 year of administrative/office work
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Education
• Non-profit administration experience
