Complex Simplicity
A body that is powerful because it is vulnerable.
Precise because it is free.

This workshop is built around two practices: advanced improvisation and choreography.
We begin by training the improvising body. Through continuous guidance, dancers develop tools to expand awareness, sharpen attention, deepen instinct, and strengthen their ability to make clear choices in the moment. We work with rhythm, weight, sensation, breath, groove, imagination, and the relationship between thought and movement. The aim is not to move more, but to become more available.
From there we move into choreography. Dense rhythms, grounded physicality, shifting textures, fluidity, power, softness, detail, and dynamic challenge. Dancers are invited to discover how individuality can live inside precision, and how technique can support rather than limit expression.
The work is demanding, physical, playful, and deeply human.
