Being involved in theatre, dance and performance often involves periods of intense activity and high adrenaline levels which can result in feelings of depletion or ‘burn out’. Led by Claire Cunningham, this workshop will provide various techniques to manage this intensity, and stay balanced, focused and healthy. The day will include a yoga class, restorative poses, breathing techniques, guided relaxation, and basic meditation, which can help us to calm down and nourish the nervous system – so we can be readier for the next challenge that life brings – both on and off the stage. The flow of the day will leave you feeling re-energised and relaxed.

Claire developed her yoga practice and teaching during a twenty-four-year career as a professional dancer and rehearsal director with leading companies across Europe. She is a warm and creative yoga teacher with a deep awareness of yoga as a tool to strengthen performance potential, health and a general sense of wellbeing in such a physically demanding profession.
