Choreodrome 2019: Over the summer The Place will be opening its studios to artists to research ideas or develop new dance works.

Choreodrome 2019 applications for Research Residencies now open!
Artists from any discipline who wish to research an idea that has choreography or dance as a key component are welcome to apply. If your work is rooted in dances from the African Diaspora including hip hop, you may also apply for the new Startin’ Point Research Residency Commission.
What do we offer?
• Between 1-2 weeks of studio time for you to develop your own choreographic work
• Commissions of £1000
• Technical equipment to support studio work (cameras, projectors, sound equipment)
• Studio sharings and facilitated feedback sessions during each residency
• Weekly lunchtime get-togethers with other artists
The current edition of Choreodrome will run from Monday 22 July – Sunday 22 September 2019.
