LuneAseas are seeking professional BIPOC dancers and choreographers to collaborate with us on the 5 Points Nutcracker. LuneAseas also seeks core company members to learn repertory work for contracted projects, immersive performances, and shows for our 2023-2024 season.

We are looking for dancers that:
1. Love to collaborate and create
2. Proficient in modern dance, ballet, martial arts, partner acrobatics, hip-hop, or jazz.
3. Willingness to learn and a positive mind set
4. Work in multidisciplinary performing arts mediums, especially physical theatre
We are casting for a special projects in December and dancer’s interested in being apart of the core company to learn rep and be apart of projects though out our 2023-2024 season.
We are seeking professional BIPOC dancers and choreographers to collaborate with us on the 5 Points Nutcracker.
LuneAseas also seeks core company members to learn repertory work for contracted projects, immersive performances, and shows for our 2023-2024, rehearsals will be in our Loveland Artworks Studio. Our first project will be November 8-10 at the Denver Children’s Museum.
About the 5 Points Nutcracker:
The 5 Points Nutcracker is an immersive theatre project of love that infuses the rich history of 5 Points using the Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker. We will be delicately highlighting important historical figures from 5 Points. This production at the Savoy, directed by Larea Edwards, will a have live score, original story telling, choreography illusionary costumery, and visual installations by a BIPOC cast.
Dates and Locations:
The rehearsal will be determined on cast needs and can be flexible. We will need 4-8 group rehearsals before December 20th. LuneAseas has access to rehearsal space in Lakewood on Saturday and Sunday late afternoon/evenings.
Tech Rehearsals at the Savoy:
December 20th & 21st 5pm-9pm
Shows At the Savoy:
December 22nd & 23rd 2pm(possible) & 7pm
Ideal dancer:
Has the qualities from the list above, is easy to work with, dedicated to the success of the project, and has a heart for telling history.
Casting roles for: Sugar Rum Fairy (Principle), Coffee, Tea, Dolls (Soloist), Rat King, Flowers, Party Guest (Ensemble).
Compensation:
Dancers will be compensated as a W-9 contractor. Rehearsal stipends and performance pay is dependent on professionalism, pending funding, ticket sales, and attendance. Further rates will be discussed upon interest.
