Opportunity to showcase dance films made in the UK during lockdown as part of a collection on Caldonia Dances website.
Where: Caldonia Dances Website, UK.
When: Throughout June & July
Deadline for applications: 03/06/2021
Since the release of Caldonia Dances’ film ‘Holding Onto Ourselves’ in March 2021, the team would like to continue to celebrate dance on screen works made in lockdown. Caldonia Dances will provide a platform on their website for 10 artists and collaborators to showcase links, pictures and information about their work in a small library of dance on screen made in the UK.
This programme will become an archive, dedicated to viewing visual work inspired by and created during our recent circumstances, with the aim of not losing dance films made in this time, once the pandemic is over.
We are looking for films of varying lengths, styles and perspectives. Keen to represent all of the dance community and passionate about championing and shouting about work in this sector, all 10 chosen films will be individually announced and presented on social media.
How to apply: Please submit the following to email@example.com by the 3rd of June, 10am, including:
• Two photos of the work.
• A link to the work via YouTube or Vimeo (we cannot host the film).
• A few sentences about the film and the stimulus used to create it.
• Credit list of all artists and funders involved (if any), including all social media tags.
