Bern Ballet: Director Isabelle Bischof is looking for a Rehearsal Director (m/f/d) from 14th of February 2023 or by appointment.

The RehearsalDirector reports to the Director of Bern Ballet and is responsible for the organization and implementation of the performance in the dance department.
We are looking for a personality who is fully committed, flexible and is open-minded to think and develop in a small management team.
Duties:
teaching Bern Ballet dancers regularly in various dance styles. Further: selection and organization of guest teachers
choreographic assistance for all productions of the dance department
planning of rehearsals and production processes
independent direction of rehearsals as a substitute for choreographers
organization of production matters concerning equipment, technical, ateliers, etc.
attendance at performances for continuous improvement of artistic quality and control of technical processes
Requirements:
several years of professional experience as a choreographic assistant, preferably in a comparable theatre company
very good knowledge of the international dance scene and various dance styles, especially in contemporary dance
skills in common office communication systems (Word, Excel, Outlook)
organizational skills, independence, creativity, ability to work under pressure and as a team player
good skills of written and spoken German and English, further foreign language skills are an advantage
We offer a guest contract until the end of the 2022/23 season with the option of continued employment in a permanent position according to GAV as of the 2023/24 season.
