The workshop is focused on training in contemporary, that includes training in technique, musicality, stamina, and the challenge to research creativity and choreographic skills and composition.
Through tasks, creation and diving into- and learning repertoire of Emma Evelein, dancers are encouraged to train in a diverse palette of contemporary dance, partnering and improvisation, with a main direction of authentic expression and in a unique movement language development. Dancers are also guided in how to survive in a dynamic work field.
On request, a subtle part of the workshop can be dedicated to dance in film, camerawork with dance and how it works in the dance film industry, in both art- short- and industry film.
Emma Evelein is a Dutch choreographer, director, and independent artist from Amsterdam. After her company life as a dancer, Emma focused on creating for theatre and film, and quickly grew into an international film & theatre choreographer and director.
