London based Dance artist Mara Vivas is looking for 1 female dance artist to get involved in the research and development of her project TimeLess (working title), a 15 – 20 minutes stage performance for a cast of 2 female dance artists. TimeLess will be created and performed in London on Tuesday 12th February as part of Resolution! 2019, The Place’s annual festival that supports and celebrates UK emerging artists.

Mara Vivas’ choreographic practice revolves around an attentive body, engaged with its surroundings and attuned with itself. Her work is meticulous crafted, she strives to create a sensitive and immersive atmosphere to invite the audience in. Mara is interested in working with dance artists that are comfortable exploring ‘quietness’ and ‘the subtle’ through improvisation and a led research process. Remaining open and willingness to explore are essential.

Since this is a time sensitive creation process, you need to be based in London and able to commit to all the rehearsals:

Oct. 29th/ Nov. 3rd, 5th, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 24th / Dec. 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th,15th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 22nd / Jan. 3rd, 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th / Feb. 1st, 2nd and 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.

Rehearsals’ days will be between 2 to 3 hours long during October and November and 3 to 6 hours in January and February. The exact times will be confirmed after the cast selection workshop.

This is a paid opportunity; Mara can offer rehearsal fees based on the Equity minimum hourly rate for unfunded projects and £200 for the performance per dancer.
