Company Nil are offering a 3-week contract (SUBJECT TO FUNDING) for highly skilled and creative professional dancers with an experience/interest in exploring identity, masculinity and have a generous approach to working collaboratively. ‘Blowin In The Wind’ is a project that revolves around masculinity and how it can be seen as a more fluid construct.
We are particularly interested in dancers that are highly-experienced in floor-work, improvisation, contact/partner-work and character-work. Other interests (non-essential) are; devising and delivering text, able to play an instrument/sing, influenced by Hip-Hop dance styles.
– Week 1: 7th-12th January 2019.
– Week 2: 14th, 16th, 18th and 19th January 2019.
– Week 3: 21st-25th January.
– Performances: 26th January + Two other performance dates in February and March (TBC – will be informed during the audition).
Auditions will be held at Yorkshire Dance on Monday 17th December 2018, in Leeds and will be invitation only.
BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) artists are encouraged to apply but it is not essential.
