Desire Lines by Meta4 Dance Company is a 10-month community project running from September 2024 to June 2025, designed to expand contemporary dance audiences in rural Northumberland.
We are collaborating with various community groups across Northumberland, introducing contemporary dance in ways that engage with their existing activities.
As part of the project, we will host exhibitions showcasing the groups’ work, public screenings of dance film work, and launch a podcast featuring conversations with Northumbrian artists. The project will culminate in a large-scale community performance at Alnwick Gardens in May 2025.
The role:
We are seeking 2 professional dancers to collaborate on the development of our current group piece, Confluence, expanding it from a 25-minute work to a one-hour production. This project will also involve working with communities to help shape the final performance.
