Instável presents the 14th edition of FAÍCC – Intensive Course in Interpretation and Choreography.

Where: Porto, Portugal

When: From February 2nd to July 31st, 2026, in Porto, for a total of 700 hours
(the dates for FAÍCC 2026 have been updated in order to optimize the training calendar and integrate new trainers)

Now in its 14th edition, FAÍCC is an intensive and interdisciplinary program promoted by Instável – Choreographic Centre, distinguished by:
– Direct work with active national and international creators and tutors.
– A strong connection to the city’s artistic scene, providing exposure to new languages and contexts.
– Public presentations in renowned events and venues.
– Internship opportunities at Instável or in partner projects, some of which are paid.

FAÍCC offers a safe space for research and creation, while simultaneously developing participants’ interpretative skills through two main areas: Composition and Choreography and Movement Technique.

Structure:
– 15 modules on Composition, Improvisation, and Movement
– 7 complementary modules – Light, Sound, Dramaturgy, Production, Feedback Method, etc.
– 5 weeks of research and mentoring
– 1 artistic residency in Águeda
– 6–8 public presentations

For whom?
Performers and creators with a background in contemporary dance, circus, or performance, interested in developing their choreographic creation and composition skills.

Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Costs for participants:
Registration fee: €180 With GDA scholarship (30%)*: €1,582 Without scholarship: €2,260 (base amount, no discount) *Candidates with Portuguese nationality or tax residency in Portugal for more than two years are eligible for the GDA Foundation scholarship. The scholarship does not cover the registration fee.
