Lila Dance are auditioning! We are really excited to announce we are looking for 4 dancers to join the R&D process for our new show Everywhere All At Once and we’d love you to apply.

Where: London, UK

When: Thursday 12 January 2023

Deadline for applications: Monday 5th December 2022 10am

Everywhere All at Once is a response to the intensities, pressure and conflict of the climate crisis underpinning the everyday rhythm of daily life.

The R&D will explore a range of creative entries into this through movement, text and digital projection and will require dancers open to creative exploration physically and through spoken word.
What are we looking for?

Essential criteria:
* skilled contemporary-trained dancers with strong partnership skills
* open to/ experience of co-creation
* skills in use of text/ spoken word
* team players – we like to work with people who are kind, caring, open and understanding

R&D will take place 6th -10th of February 2023 in Chichester, West Sussex. Accommodation will be provided if needed.

The fee for the week is £575 all inclusive. You must be available for every day when you apply and commit to these dates if you are successful.

We are currently only auditioning for the preliminary R&D phase. There may be potential for successful applicants to continue on to the creation of the work in Summer 2023.

Auditions will be held in London on Thursday 12th January 2023 12.30-6.30pm. Please note there will be cuts during the day. We know this is hard but as a small unfunded organisation it’s the only way we can make the day work.

If after watching your video and reading your letter we feel you would be a good fit with the company we will be in touch with full information on what to expect on the day and where to meet us. We will aim to let everyone know the outcome of their application by Monday 19th December 2022.

We recognise that applying and auditioning can be challenging and we want to be as open as possible, we also want to ensure that everyone who meets the essential criteria for the role is given a chance.

If you want to discuss the role before please do email our producer for an informal chat.

All dancers who meet the essential criteria from backgrounds that are underrepresented such as those from African, Asian or ethnically diverse, those from low socio-economic backgrounds and those who identify as disabled will be offered an audition.

How to apply / register:

Please send a 1 minute video of you dancing. This video needs to be clearly of you. If it is a film of a performance of you as part of a company it needs to be obvious that we are watching you. Please don’t send films longer than a minute – if it is part of a longer film we ask that you cut it to one minute in length before sending.

Please send a covering email/ letter explaining why you want to work with us – what will you bring to Lîla and why you think you can help us with our R&D. Maximum of 300 words. We expect you to know our work so please make sure you’ve done your research!
