Asia Pacific Dance Festival Intensive:

2 Weeks in Honolulu, Hawai‘i with the leading choreographers, dancers & scholars of Hawaii, Asia & the Pacific. This year’s dance companies and critics hail from Korea, Tonga, Indonesia, Okinawa, USA & Hawai‘i.

Where: University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, Honolulu, Hawaii

Under the guidance of University of Hawai‘i dance faculty, the Festival offers a unique collection of coursework that puts you in direct contact with the artists through both lecture and technique classes.
Registration for the Festival Intensive includes all studio classes, University of Hawai‘i dance class “Dance in World Cultures” (DNCE255), tickets to performances, transportation to any required field trips, guest lectures, and special lunches.

Intensive Daily Schedule (Monday-Friday):

8:30 am—4:30 pm

(12:00—1:15 lunch)

Classes include both traditional and modern training in Hula, Korean dance, Tongan dance, and Okinawan dance as well as lectures and discussions.
