Two-day workshop with Anna Finkel at K5 Studio, London. Only *5 spaces remaining.

Where: K5 Studio, London, UK

When: 23rd & 24th February // 10am – 4pm

Deadline for applications: 22nd February

Come join Anna Finkel (Punchdrunk / Gecko / Lost Dog) in a weekend workshop at K5 Studio, London.
“Over these two days, we will PLAY. We will dive into bold expression and investigate vulnerability.”

Drawing on my experience with Gecko, Punchdrunk and Lost Dog, we will explore embodied vocal and emotional expression, catharsis, singing, clowning, somatic improvisations, and character play.

The focus of this workshop is threefold:

1 – we will build a strong ensemble in the room to facilitate personal and collective empowerment.

2 – we will nurture ourselves and each other creatively.

3 – we will embody the complete performer where all components of ourselves are available for expression.

Developing personal and collective empowerment will be the foundation of the group. Through sharing this intention, we can set up an ensemble that is focused on support and care in which we can allow ourselves to play, be bold and vulnerable. From this foundation of support, we can be motivated to effect positive change in the world around us.

As performers, it’s rare that we have space to play and can release ourselves from the need to ‘get it right’. This workshop is an opportunity to feed yourself and replenish those creative juices.

I’m interested in exploring the notion of the complete performer where we are not compartmentalising our modes of expression, but are instead integrated and available in all aspects. How can we blur the lines between our dancing, vocal, primal, sophisticated, emotional, serious, and ridiculous selves?” – Anna Finkle
