In this immersive week of Not Standing, the day will be divided. There will be focus on the ever evolving partnering and catabatics. Secondly, there will be a focus on a rather new chapter within company, which is footwork.

Where: Tictac Art Centre, Brussels, Belgium

When: December 8 – 12, Time: 10:00 – 17:30

This intensive week is divided between two main focuses: partnering & catabatics and a new chapter for the company — footwork.

Footwork, led by Alexander, explores coordination and rhythm over form. Participants will work with stepping patterns, stretches (feet, calves, legs), and creative tools to develop personal movement language.

Partnering, central to Not Standing’s work, will be led by Emmi and Chia-Hung. Through shared movement situations, the goal is to explore principles of partnering rather than fixed forms — from subtle weight exchanges to full-body lifts and dynamic movement.

Catabatics (low acrobatics) involves cartwheels, rainbows, stepovers, and more — all rooted in coordination, not just strength or virtuosity.

Classes will also introduce principles from current and future Not Standing works, inviting participants into the company’s unique approach to movement — solo, in duet, or with objects.
