La Casa Barbara is a creative hub in southern France dedicated to dance, movement, and embodied artistic exploration. Housed in a former 19th-century church and surrounded by an inspiring natural landscape, it hosts workshops, residencies, performances, and other cultural events throughout the summer.

11–16 June 2026
Embodying Landscape — Steve Batts
Participants explore outdoor locations and transform sensory, emotional, and perceptual experiences into creative material in the studio.
1–12 July 2026
Sensation – Perception – Action — Emilio Artessero Quesada
An intensive laboratory focused on improvisation. Open to participants with prior improvisation experience.
15–19 July 2026
Danser l’endroit, se dédier aux lieux — Laure Terrier (Cie Jeanne Simone)
An exploration of the relationship between body and space through somatic practices, real-time composition, and site-specific movement.
15–21 August 2026
Body Weather — Frank van de Ven
A workshop investigating the dynamic relationship between body, environment, and perception through physical and dance training, sensory awareness, and experiential practices.
25–28 August 2026
Corps, Voix & Culture Krump — Clarisse Tognella
An introduction to Krump dance and culture, combining body, voice, and movement practices with theoretical and cultural perspectives to deepen understanding of Krump’s expressive power and gestural language.
1–4 September 2026
Shaking — Jane Fournier Dumet
A workshop dedicated to the practice of shaking, exploring internal movement dynamics and collective experience.
14–18 September 2026
Danser dehors, révéler l’invisible — Jean-Antoine Bigot & Anne Le Batard (Cie EX NIHILO)
An exploration of movement in public space, engaging with architecture and environment through improvisation, site-specific practice, and expressive physicality.
