Trio A (1966) by choreographer Yvonne Rainer is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and Greenwich Dance celebrates with a one-week intensive for dancers to learn the iconic dance. Sara Wookey, one of 5 certified transmitters of Trio A, will lead the five-day workshop. The workshop will take place in Greenwich Dance’s Borough Hall, where the dance was notated in 2003 by Melanie Clark and Joukje Kolff.
To conclude Sara’s week-long residency, on Friday 8 July (5pm) there will be a public conversation with Sara and collaborators on her project reDANCE that addresses modes of transmitting dance across generations and the working relationship she has with Yvonne.
