A three-week intensive program that connects professional dancers and emerging choreographers with some of today’s leading Montréal-based and internationally renowned dance companies. (Peter Chu), GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, VIM VIGOR DANCE COMPANY (Shannon Gillen), and Margie Gillis.

The dancers participate in a rigorous schedule composed of 5-day weeks of 9-hour days. During the first week, the dancers are immersed in five different workshop experiences as well as their daily technique classes (classical ballet, contemporary, Gaga, and Flying low). During the second and third weeks, the dancers are cast with one Principal Company and one Emerging Choreographer. On the final day of the project a showing of “works in progress” is presented at Usine C for an invited audience. Weekends are filled with auditions, showings, outreach performances, and supplementary workshops, including a seminar on navigating the world of commercial dance offered by Lakey Wolff, talent agent in New York City.
