POZAproject is offering an 8-day residency opportunity at Kinning Park Complex (Glasgow). The rehearsal space will be available on Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00 till 15.30 for 4 weeks starting on Thursday 11th of February 2016.
This opportunity is open to individuals or groups working in the fields of dance, movement, physical theatre, sound or anywhere in between those genres. It is intended to give space and focused time to explore ideas and possibilities or experiment with specific tasks. It can be used to begin a new creative process or develop existing work.
The artist(s) will be asked to share the results of the residency during a public sharing of POZA project, which will take place on 5th of March 2016 at 17.00 at Kinning Park Complex alongside other presentations.
We will also ask the artist(s) to teach two one-hour long classes, free of charge, on dates to be arranged between them and the organizers at Poza. Our aim is to share artistic practices in whatever genre to the public, give a taster of a particular training or practice, and to offer an opportunity to connect the artists and the wider community.
