Group 1: Euripides Laskaridis (Master Class – 6 days)
The educative program Performing Arts for the Future is a project of 3 workshops for young artist and students from all over Europe. The inspiring idea is to create conditions for meeting of emerging artists with new theater legends.
All participants of the workshops have free entry for the festival productions and they form the core of the festival. Participants are actively involved into the festival events and use the opportunity to build contacts for the future cooperation.
Euripides Laskaridis is director, filmmaker, performer and 2016 Pina Bausch Fellow. He will lead a workshop on performance tools coming from his artistic research on ridicule and transformation, and his background in physical theatre, Greek theatre and dance theatre. Using wigs and his concept of stage topography, Euripides will provoke the participant’s imagination towards unveiling the poetry that lies beneath absurdity. The last day of the workshop will take place in Divadlo v Celetné along with a presentation of the work of the Masterclass participants within the evening program of the Nultý bod (Zero point) festival.
