As part of our mission to represent the UK in all its diversity, the British Council is offering bursaries for BAME (black, Asian or minority ethnic) artists and producers to attend IETM Brussels — an important international performing arts networking event, from 23—26 November 2017.
Where: Brussels, Belgium (bursaries for travel and accommodation will be provided)
When: 23—26 November 2017
Deadline for applications: Sunday 24 September 23:59 (BST)
IETM (Informal European Theatre Meeting) is a network of over five hundred performing arts organisations and individuals working in contemporary performance in Europe and all over the world. IETM Brussels 2017 will look at populism and exclusion — focusing on how the arts sector can counter populist rhetoric and break down an ‘us against them’ narrative.
The British Council is an associate member of IETM and there will be friendly faces from our Theatre and Dance team on hand for the successful participants. We will provide support, make introductions, steer the group through events and help everyone to make the most of the experience.
To be considered for a bursary, eligible candidates should complete a short application form on our website. Applications will be accepted from UK based BAME artists or producers working in the performing arts.
How to apply: Please complete the short application form on our website
Successful applicants will receive a £500 bursary each
