Northern Ballet’s Choreographic Laboratory Tell Tale Steps is now in its second year. It offers emerging choreographers studio time in a professional environment, working with Northern Ballet’s Company dancers to experiment with creative processes, play with movement ideas and begin to see a dance story from the perspective of the audience.

When: 30 May and 19 June 2016

Where: Leeds, UK

Working within the parameters of narrative form and using ballet vocabulary as a starting point, you will be mentored by Northern Ballet’s Artistic Director and other guest artists who will offer guidance throughout the process.

With a genuine interest in the narrative form and the future of ballet choreography, you will be open-minded, collaborative and able to articulate your dance ideas.

The Choreographic Laboratory will take place between 30 May and 19 June 2016.

Closing date Wednesday 16 March at 12 noon.
Interviews Monday 21 March in Leeds.

The successful candidate will receive a £900 fee plus all reasonable expenses, accommodation and travel.
