Kari Hoaas workshop ‘Be Like Water’
Award winning choreographer/dancer Kari Hoaas leads a 5-day choreographic workshop based on a philosophy that recognizes individuality and questions the choices we make as dancers.It is suitable for movers and performers interested in developing their creative approaches.

When: Monday 13th to Friday 17th February 2017. 10am – 3pm daily with a sharing at 1pm on the final day.

A choreographic workshop that investigates release based techniques.
The sessions will consist of working individually, partnering and group settings. Diverse methods and approaches to creating dance will be proposed, practiced and discussed, with Bruce Lee’s famous quote ‘Be like water’ as the catalyst.
About: Kari Hoaas is a choreographer, dancer and teacher. Associate Professor at the Norwegian College of Dance in Oslo, she spent more than a decade working in New York City and teaches internationally. She has created seven evening length productions in addition to numerous shorter works, commissions, site-specific projects and collaborations with other artists. Her work has been produced and presented by major venues all over Norway and the Nordic region in addition to international co-productions and tours to the USA, Caribbean, Europe, Cacasus and the Middle East.
