A week full of contemporary dance and martial arts training, healthy food and the possibility of transformation.
Where: Blipbase, Ladendorf, Austria ( 1 hour from Vienna).
When: 4th July – 10th July 2016
We start each day with soft Chi Gong and Yoga.
After breakfast, its getting more dynamic, short Tai Chi Form, then intensive Push Hands practice.
We will learn and dive into the World of contact partner-games of Tai Chi Chuan Kung Fu. Chi Shou “Sticky Hands” and Ta Lü “The Long Pulling” – are on our daily program as well as “chainfist-trippling” and also “Trapping” – these are partner contact games which expand perception and heighten our awareness…its a pity that these games are rarely taught outside of good martial art schools, but are so interesting for us dancers. These games of sensing make the body aware and the mind free…
… afterwards lunch and the hammocks in the nature garden…
In the afternoon we go into a contemporary dance lab, beginning with release warm-up and physical theater experiments. We will investigate the nature of social interaction – practices of fearlessness, body-energy-centering and mindfulnes. with focus on readiness for the unexpected and the unknown…
