In the ever-changing landscape of contemporary dance and theatre, nowadays performers are not merely a vessel for the choreographers work but are also often invited to form an integral part of the artistic process, solving creative questions, devising scenarios, creating material and entering a collaborative process to enrich the work with their integrity.
This specially tailored workshop focusses on what tools, skills and attributes are required for this type of joint endeavour. During these four days, Hannes will lead a creative project, conceived to expose challenges, questions and opportunities that might arise when working alongside a choreographer, whilst also training and sharpening performative competence.
Each day will start with a rigorous physical training, leading to voice work and followed by creative tasks, building confidence and skilfulness for creative co-authoring.This workshop is aimed at professional dancers and performers with strong physical training, who are curious to expand their creative toolbox, interested in exploring voice and theatricality, and eager to form a generous and investigative environment to expand in.
