About the platforms:
Choreolab Europe is an international, collaborative artistic research platform for dance and choreography. It provides an artistic playground for choreographers, dancers and movers from all over the world, where specific ideas on creation of movement for performance are researched in a peer-to-peer setting.
In the form of a four day weekend, organized in a different European city at every turn, each choreolab offers a combination of diverse activities: practical labs guided by invited choreographers; open playgrounds where participants can fill in the time and the space with their own interests and questions – taking advantage of the possibility to work with the assisting choreographers as their coach; a theory based lecture on the poetics of movement; and a practical workshop given by a local dance-maker.
Compota is a platform that constantly strives for new avenues and solutions for improvised composition, bringing together performers and creators from different artistic disciplines in research, creation sessions, training and shows.
Compota’s key elements are creativity and collaboration: the continuous crossing of different artistic disciplines, the collaborative work and the multi-sensory stimulation for all participants are its main objectives.
